Zovo Gradebook

Weighted class grades, missing work, progress reports and an Excel gradebook from your scores.

Zovo Gradebook is a weighted grade calculator for teachers and tutors. Paste your scores or attach the Google Classroom or Canvas gradebook export, give the category weights (Homework 20%, Quizzes 30%, Tests 50%), and get each student's final percentage and letter grade, computed with fractions and rounded only for display. Drop the lowest quiz, mark work excused (EX) or missing (M), add extra credit, and use a standard, plus/minus or custom letter scale. When a category has no graded work yet, the other weights are scaled up and the result says so. You get class stats (mean, median, letter distribution), a missing-work list, an Excel gradebook, and one printable progress report page per student as a PDF.

What it does

Reads pasted tables and Google Classroom or Canvas CSV/XLSX exports, including a Points Possible row
Drop lowest N per category, excused (EX), missing (M = 0) and blank (not graded) handling, extra credit
Standard, plus/minus or custom letter scales; optional rounding before the letter
Weights renormalized when a category has no graded work, stated in the result
Class mean, median, range and letter distribution, plus a missing-work list per student
Excel gradebook (final grades, scores with missing and dropped cells marked, class summary) and CSV
Printable progress report PDF, one page per student, with categories, assignments, missing work and comments
Score needed on the final for a target grade, for one student or a whole class

Limitations

Does not connect to or write back to Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool or any school system
Does not store gradebooks; download links expire after about 1 hour
Drop lowest removes the lowest percentage scores; it does not search for the drop that maximizes a grade
Up to 1,000 students and 300 assignments per call; CSV or XLSX only (not PDF or images)
No late penalties or standards-based (1-4) grading

Add it

ChatGPT: once Zovo Gradebook is approved, add it from the ChatGPT plugin directory.

Claude: go to Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector and enter https://gradebook.zovo.one/mcp. No sign-in is needed. Once Zovo Gradebook is listed in the Claude connector directory, you can add it from there too.
